Happy Father’s Day!

A Father

One of the many examples of a father is found in the Bible. God is described as being kind, loving, forgiving, protective, gracious and a provider ( to name a few). The Bible teaches us about our Heavenly Father, who loves us so much that he was willing to send Jesus to redeem us. Similarly, our earthly father is a very important figure and contributor to who we are as a person. Sometimes, a child will wear his/her dad’s shoes and clothes pretending that it fits. To that child it is fun to be “like daddy”. This child might mimic everything that he/she sees. So…, tell me…, Your role is important, right?

Right! Your Role is very Important!

Your role is very important to help your child grow and mature. My father was a provider, He made sure we had adequate food with the help of my mother. (Of Course my mother helped, but this post is about fathers). My father is always there to guide us. My father believed in education as the key to success. He made sure that all of his children got an education and became successful members of society. I appreciate him for that. We honor him everyday, but we made sure we give him gifts on certain occasions.

A Father’s Unlimited Roles…

A father’s role is unlimited in the rearing of his children. A Father has the opportunity to shape the life of his children into the person he wants them to become. Spiritually, financially and emotionally, they are watching your every move. The way you portray God is it inviting them to serve and worship Him. The way you spend or save money, is it teaching them to be stewards. The way you handle your emotions, is it preparing them to better understand their own emotions and be able to respond accordingly. There is a lot to think about when it comes to fatherhood. Are you the best dad ever? Are you ready to be and to give the best gift ever to your child? I think you are and you just have to believe in yourself.

Be the positive influence…

If you are a father reading this blog, Just know that your job is not the easiest, but I want to encourage you to continue to be a positive influence that will motivate your children to do their best and to make positive choices. Fathers stay actively involved in your child’s life and help them with your guidance, your finances, your protection, your love, your kindness and your forgiveness. Continue to play ball with your kids and give them a “high five”. Boost their self-esteem and their self-confidence with your affirming words. Just be there and be you!

Dad, Thank You for Being There!

If you are one of my readers and you do not consider yourself a dad yet, just think about all the times you spend helping other parents with their responsibilities. Smile and say to yourself, I am helping and I am making sure I have a positive impact in the lives of those that I help. Remember, Your contribution really made a difference.

Thank you so much for taking your time to read this post! Bezouin Du Jour prays that God continue to bless you on this journey as a father! We honor you fathers today and every day!
